Meteorological Department Director General, Dr Qammar Zaman on Monday said that there were no chances of rainfall in the earthquake-hit areas during the current week. Talking with a private TV channel, he said there would be freezing temperature in the quake-hit areas by mid November.

To a question, he said cold and dry weather was expected in earthquake-hit areas in the next 48 hours.

To another question, he said during last 24 hours about 14 aftershocks were recorded on Richter scale. However, magnitude of the aftershocks recorded was very low. DG Met office said series of aftershocks would continue in the next two weeks.
